Federal Aviation Administration
Leonardo, as Prime Contractor through its international subsidiary Selex ES Inc., has delivered over 100 DMEs under IDIQ contract DTFAWA-11-C-00059. This program included development, qualification, and delivery of the modified COTS DME FA-30600/30601 derived from the Selex ES 1119A DME product.
Selex ES Inc. provides the program management, systems engineering, human engineering, integrated logistics support, quality assurance, configuration management, training, operational support, and materials/support to develop, manufacture, test, integrate and deliver up to 500 Selex ES DME systems under a Subcontract to Harris (formerly ITT, Excel).
Our Kansas City team delivered over 500 ground-based Selex ES 3300 Wide Area Multilateration (WAM)/Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) Radios as part of the $1.8 Billion Surveillance and Broadcast Services contract.
United States Navy
Leonardo, as Prime Contractor through its international subsidiary Selex ES Inc., was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by NAVAIR (Naval Air Systems Command) worth up to USD 20.9 million for delivery of its Selex ES Model 2100 Instrument Landing System with collocated Selex ES Model 1118A Distance Measuring Equipment (DME). Scope of work includes production, qualification, and installation of first article systems and production of follow on systems.
United States Air Force
Leonardo, through international subsidiary Selex ES Inc., as subcontractor to Leidos (formerly SAIC) provided the Selex ES 2100 ILS system to the US Air Force as part of the ILS-Modernization (ILS-M) program. The ILS-M program was an enterprise-wide technology refresh of United States Air Force ILS systems that replaced existing obsolete ILS components with modern Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment, integrated them into the existing infrastructure, and enabled Remote Maintenance and Monitoring (RMM) and remote flight check operations. Under the contract, Selex ES Inc. produced and delivered 144 each localizer and glideslope systems over the five-year performance period. The equipment was approved through the first article testing and completed production.
FMS (Foreign Military Sales)
Selex ES, Inc., a Leonardo company, is proud to provide equipment and contract service support on multiple Foreign Military Sales programs over the past two decades and has existing programs of record throughout the world ranging from Europe to the Middle East and beyond. These are critical program for Navaids in support of strategic international partners to the United States government as well as key international organizations. In accordance with the authorization granted by the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), as amended [22 U.S.C. 2751, et. Seq.], Selex ES, Inc. works in conjunction with FMS to strengthen the security of the U.S. and promote world peace and no cost to the U.S. taxpayer.
